HOW CAN I BOOK A MOTORCYCLE RENTAL IN PERU?

HOW DO I MAKE A PAYMENT FOR MY MOTORCYCLE RENTAL?

Once you’ve booked a motorcycle rental with us, payment can be made through our website. After finalizing all the details of your rental and confirming your acceptance of the service, we’ll provide you with payment options. You can choose from the following methods:

Pay with your VISA credit card directly on our website. Simply click on the VISA button located at the bottom of this page or on the homepage. Please be aware that there is a 5% surcharge for this transaction.
Use a payment link provided by us.
Transfer the payment via Western Union to the following beneficiary: Name: Juan Carlos Romero Zavaleta

Please note that any applicable bank charges are the responsibility of the payer.

DO I NEED TO MAKE AN ADVANCE PAYMENT FOR MOTORCYCLE RENTAL?

Yes, we require a 50% advance payment of the total rental cost. The remaining balance and the deposit can be settled at our office on the day you pick up the motorcycle. If there are less than 4 weeks remaining before the rental start date, we kindly ask for the full payment of the rental amount.

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE FOR PICKING UP THE MOTORCYCLE?

When you come to our office to pick up your rented motorcycle, you’ll complete the rental contract and settle the rental fee along with the deposit. If you’ve made a prepayment, you’ll only need to cover the remaining balance and the deposit. We’ll provide you with all the necessary equipment for your journey and offer instructions on handling the motorcycle. Additionally, if requested, we can provide road directions and maps to enhance your experience. Before you begin your adventure, we’ll conduct a video inspection of the motorcycle’s condition and mileage to ensure everything is in order. Once this is done, you’ll be ready to hit the road and start your journey.

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE FOR RETURNING THE RENTED MOTORCYCLE?

Upon returning the rented motorcycle, we will conduct a thorough review of its condition and the equipment provided. We will also check the mileage to ensure everything is in order. Once we confirm that all is well, we will promptly return your rental deposit.

DO I NEED AN INTERNATIONAL DRIVER'S LICENSE TO RENT A MOTORCYCLE IN PERU?

If you plan to drive in Peru for 30 days or less, a valid foreign driver’s license is all you’ll need to rent a motorcycle, car, or scooter. However, you must also carry your passport with you at all times to demonstrate that you entered Peru legally.

If you plan to drive in Peru for more than 30 days, you’ll need to obtain an international driver’s permit. You should apply for your international driver’s permit at least two weeks before traveling to Peru, as that’s typically how long it takes to arrive by mail. You can apply for your international driver’s permit here.

It’s important to note that the Touring and Automóvil Club del Perú is the only institution authorized to issue International Driving Permits, in accordance with current international conventions. Additionally, it should be clarified that the maximum validity of the permit is 1 year, and the delivery is strictly personal and non-transferable. PRICE OF THE PROCEDURE

Fee for issuing rights for members of the Touring Annual Integral Plan: S/.115.00 soles including VAT (with one year of seniority and up-to-date or canceled year).
Fee for issuing rights for non-members: S/. 270.00 soles including VAT.

WHAT IS COVERED BY THE INSURANCE FOR MOTORCYCLE RENTALS?

When you rent a motorcycle with us, the standard insurance included in the rental price is called SOAT. This insurance, mandated by Peruvian law, covers physical injuries to the driver, passenger, and third parties.

Damage to the motorcycle itself is not covered by the standard insurance. However, you have the option to purchase additional insurance. With this additional coverage, 70% of the cost of motorcycle damage is covered by the insurance, while the remaining 30% is your responsibility. If the damage amounts to less than $300 USD, you will be responsible for the entire cost. Damage to third parties is not covered.

We offer two types of additional insurance: one for trips lasting from 1 to 4 days, priced at $20 USD per day, and another for trips lasting 5 days or longer, starting from $400 USD.

Especially for longer tours, we recommend obtaining insurance with international coverage in your home country to ensure comprehensive coverage.
